Smadar Livne's multi-colored wall hangings beg to be touched. Only then can one fully appreciate and even believe that her intricate designs are not paintings on canvas, but rather layers of non-woven fabric pieced seamlessly together. Indeed, her show at the gallery in the Cordon Center of Performing Arts, at the Jewish Community Center in Owings Mills, is aptly titled 'They're Not Paintings.
