Greg Sandage

Greg Sandage got started in jewelry creation 15 years ago after many years as a builder and after several forays into such handcrafts as blacksmithing, pottery and woodworking. Training a little with some master jewelers and taking many extended workshops have enhanced his basically self-taught journey in this field. The handwork in many fields for 30 years subtly inspires and informs the design and execution of these pieces. All of the creation of this work is done by Greg with a little part-time help in the buffing-cleaning-packing area.

The home and studio which Greg built are tucked into a remote area of the Blue Ridge region mountains near Lexington, Virginia where he is a founding member of the thriving Artists in Cahoots cooperative art gallery. He has lived there for 20 years, raising four children with Patricia, his wife of 30 years. It is a great inspiration for life in general and especially for the jewelry creation to be embraced by the quiet and wild beauty of these glorious surroundings.

His jewelry career is pursued through the art cooperative, work in galleries all around the country and appearances at many art shows along the east coast where he also shows his gold and one-of-a-kind creations.
